HX35 Boost issue

Ok i recently instsalled an HX35 turbo on my truck and i think i may have an issue that is i can only get 15 pounds of boost out of it. Now i know from others with this kind of turbo the can get up to 30 to 35 pounds so why will mine only make 15.

Are you using the stock waste gate controller or did you fab a turbomaster

No I dont have a chip yet and it the waste gate that came on it

Maybe that is what the waste gate is set at?

Most likely you don't have enough fuel to make anymore then 15psi

If you have a stock tune it will defuel like no tommorrow once your boost approaches 15 unless you have a resistor or 3 bar map installed.

I have hit 18 with mine, then turned it down to 13-14 psi. max. I have a WH1C, basically same thing. A chip will help that setup a lot!

Have you checked for leaks at the crossover pipe connections? Leaks at the crossover joints will hurt the ability to make max boost.
