Just bought a brand new DB2831 military pump, rated at 170 hp, I missed the turbo 200 hp version, :mad2: I don't want to keep messing with fueling so should I just give it an 1/8 of a turn? I guess the only difference between the 170 and 200 pumps are fueling. Can't wait to put this baby on and get rid of my damn annoying hot start problem. :agreed:

When I turned up my pump that was set for n/a and I added the turbo I went 1/2 turn. I can leave a puff of smoke from a stop if I stomp on it, but if I go 3/4 throttle, hesitate about half a second, then wot, no smoke. I would say by my egt I don't think I couldn't use more fuel until I put in some new injectors. The ones I am running now are for a turbo, bosch india, but have around 80,000 miles on them.
Hope this helps

Being I have a 6.2, I know the 6.5 pumps already run more fuel, so that is my concern, its hard enough adjusting the fuel even though everything is marked, just a PITA, lol.

Installed the pump, turned it up almost 1/8, can hit 10 psi, 12 if I really stretch out 3rd gear. Off idle and small throttle inputs huge improvement over the 29 plunger.

So it seems, starts easier period. Only had one chance to hot start, after I came too work, let it sit for an hour, fired right up so I could set the idle.

The seller is amazing, USPS used it for football practice, bent the throttle shaft, so I had to get one out of my core pumps, so he felt bad and is sending me a factory reman pump for virtually nothing, so now, I have a few pumps for spares. Go Waste oils, :rolleyes5:
