How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Thoughts on the differential photos though sir?
I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. just make sure it's full of oil and pay attention to the pinion to see if it's leaking. might have been just how the photo looked. doesn't hurt to check the oil every once in a while! even the transfer case too.

when was the last time the diff oil was changed? most just keep topped off and forget it. if you have never changed it, I would think about that along with the transfer case lube too just so you have that peace of mind.

The diff fluid was changed when i took those photos 7 months ago sir.

Changed the fluids. Cleaned up the diffs with break fluid and that was that. Did the whole trip from South Dakota to NYC without any issues

Im cooked,

Took it a shop that specializes in axles, drive train related issues, etc (and in classics).

They called me back and told me that they heard noise within the rear differential itself, pinion has movement.

Oh ffs why me.

They told me I can get it back today and if I bring it to them tomorrow they'll Crack it open and see how bad it is, if I dont wish to make repairs or anything after that, they won't charge.
