How can you tell?

Maybe a really stupid question but, how do you tell if your truck in in regen?

higher than normal idle speed, instant MPG drops pretty significantly, slight loss of power, really not too noticeable, incinerating bikers, trees, shrubs, pedestrians, etc. ):h

i could tell by how the truck sounds it drones out a lot and the fuel guage will also let you know. plus the scortching egt'ts is a good sign. if your not paying attention its easy not to notice.

For me, I always notice a noticeable and different smell of exhaust.
