Always looking for poll ideas post them HERE or send me a PM.......

They 'say' demand is down.
They 'say' supply is up.
They 'say' there is more un-rest in the middle east.. Been that way for EONs.

So why must we pay the price every time somebody gets a fart crossways?

Oh wait, it's more assaults on the middle class... Keep it up, keep selling us out and beating us down... Poof!... no more middle class. Socialism by ATTRITION!

I feel like I am getting raped every time I fill up!

If it goes above $5.00 a gallon for Diesel I will start riding my bicycle to work. :mad2:

The housing bubble was going to burst before it got as big as it did simply because oil prices were too high starting in 2005-06. They then pushed oil prices high enough to break our backs in 2008 around $5.00 a gal for diesel in CA. There is such a thing as too low oil prices where they shut in oil wells that are too expensive to keep open. But going too high and people quit spending as they have to spend on gas - no RV's, no RV tourism, no extra purchases...

This is why I run biodiesel - competes against the "problem" of bad energy policy. That and it uses what would be waste cooling oil that would have to be thrown out. Although they use fresh oil to meet demand. Bigger problem is the poor energy policy this country has and the wet dream of exotic green energy. We will only see stability in the economy with stable energy prices. Developing Shuttle Challenger Hydrogen explosion type fuel is a pure waste of money as it needs a completely new infrastructure to deliver it and expensive new tanks/engines/fuel cells. They barely extended a tax credit for Biodiesel and that alone has kept it alive. The delay killed a lot of the bio industry's plants and put folks out of work. Biodiesel is a fuel that can be delivered by existing infrastructure with the least amount of changes. And look at how little is invested in Biodiesel that is getting results vs. the hydrogen wet dream that only has wasted taxpayer money. Our antique electric grid can't keep homes warm in winter or cool in the summer. It sure as hell isn't going to power a fleet of electric cars without more power plants and better weather proof delivery methods. So we may as well scrap the power grid and start over from an investment needed point of view for electric cars. The peak and off peak pricing scams will make electric power uncompetitive. Companies will take their big call/computer/manufacturing centers to the cheap power states or countries. Wait till you brick a $40,000 battery set for your car out of warranty. New infrastructure would be needed and quite frankly the masses are not smart enough to safely use hydrogen fuel that is colder, under higher pressure, and more flammable than propane - all for lesser range. Even smart NASA folks overlooked o ring temperature specs and had their hydrogen powered craft break up because of it... Never mind the extreme precautions they have to take around hydrogen fuel... The new diesel engines were trouble enough back in the late 70's with fuel and understanding being main trouble sources. Cheap design shortcuts by GM with the Olds 5.7 is history.

Natural gas is very cheap now. It is because we developed it. (Allowed development of gas wells and major gas pipelines.) Now there is a bunch of 'groundwater contamination' fears over fracking (sp?) That could halt keeping the supply of natural gas up. Then the price would go up. Natural gas is a big source for electric power.

A foreign power needs only to fund a group stopping energy development for environmental fears etc to help ruin this country. I admit some companies track record is bad, but, our enforcement of existing safety and environmental laws has allowed it - partially our fault.

Only big companies with deep pockets that can buy a lot of politicians make any progress against extreme environmentalism. Even then you can loose an entire day if they find a blunt nose lizard flattened on a job site road. The same influence buying saves them money by looking the other way for safety and environmental violations. Even the ones that make the news blow over after awhile like Massey energy in West Virgina with human bodies all over the place...

Yeah, we go nuts over a lizard but look the other way when a coal mine blows up. Safety is number 2.

Some people think the lizard is more important that getting you to work, kids to school, or transporting food to your table. You pay through the a$$ for stupidity like this because of cost to protect a lizard.

Then the speculators get involved and corner the market because supply and fear allows it. Supply and refineries are short for the above and other reasons.

Bubba just raped me while I was bent over and he didn't use any vaseline.

Never thought I would say $3.95 a gallon was reasoneable, but right now I might. It HURTS filling up the BURB, and next month were going to Jersey to visit the wifes family. It's going to hurt going that far at 10 MPG and $4 + a gallon diesel.

Said it on another forum and I'll say it again here. If they'd just find a way to make political bullshit an energy source we'd be energy independent by dinner time.

Way to high. I just heard a republican nominee running for president state that if he becomes president, fuel would be $2.95 a gallon. Not sure if it was Romney or Gingrich. That would be cool. We really should have much better help from the government on this. And they should be trying to tap that large crude oil reservoir in the Dakotas, as they say it is HUGE.
Enough is enough!

The problem is teh gubment WANTS higher gas prices. Think of all the tax revunue they get off of that extra $1 a gallon.

Am I the only one that voted to low. Don't you guys want tot make obumma's green energy plan work? His plan is to make fuel so expensive that everybody will quit using it.

Then the government will subsidize giant Volt semi's, trains and ocean liners. Once he gets everybody to quit using the global warming fuel he will give each and every one of us a new Volt truck. All we have to do is get him voted into office again.

The amount of tax the fed gov gets from a gallon of gas does not go up with the price it is set at a price per gallon not a percentage. I think around .16 a gallon. I too believed this up till a few months ago.

We have 4 times as many oil wells now as we did 3 years ago and have a much larger supply of oil then just about any time in our past. Also we have a lowest gasoline demand then we have had in the last 10 years or more. We are actually exporting gasoline. Not oil but actual gasoline. It is not supply and demand it is market manipulation and speculation.

Also I am not saying I like the president but It sure looks like the oil companies are trying to put the screws to him. It was not long ago they said they were going to make him politically pay for not aproving the pipe they want.

Also dont think that pipe will help the fuel prices that pipe is for export of oil and produces mostly temp jobs and only a fraction of what GOP TV wants you to think. Oh I mean Fox News not GOP TV.

Pi$$es me off when The Oil Sands are referred to as tar sands by the left enviro nuts. I knew how the article was going to slant.

The enviro nuts are hypocrits...they drive car too,fly planes,go on cruises, use plastic, gas for their lawn mower and such.I'm pretty sure they got electric in their mansions and penthouses as well:agreed:

We should force them idiots to live off the land or the busch and grow their own garden and eat their meat raw :rolleyes5:
Ofcourse no burning of any kind allowed cause that is bad for the environment eh :hihi:
