Put on new injection pump, truck ran for a week then quit running while driving and then would not start again. I just checked for diagnostic codes and got a 17,18, and 84. I have seen some sites that say 17 and 18 are Crank Position sensor faults, is this true? Would the CPS cause a no start situation? I am also wondering if maybe I got a not so well rebuilt IP. Does any one have some thoughts on this? Thanks.

We need to know what kind of rig you drive, and (since we aren't there to listen and look), we need you to do some of the diagnostics for us.

Codes can be found here, in the 6.5TD Technical Reference Library. (under DTC - Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
17 and 18 are IP reference codes... they don't have anything to do with the crank. 84 is a transmission code.
I would guess your PMD is FUBAR, but I would also wonder about the lubricity in your fuel.

When you replaced the IP did you plug the Optical Sensor (OS) back in on top of the IP? Make sure it still is.
Did you perform the correct timing procedure for the PCM after changing the IP? What did you set the TDCO to?
The 17 and 18 do have to do with the crank sensor, because this is telling you the PCM has compared the crank timing to the timing coming from the OS, and thinks your OS is broke. Although if the PCM thought the crank position sensor (CPS) was bad it would throw a DTC19.

The chevy dealer set the timing on the pump after it was changed out. I do not know what it is set at. I am pretty sure the OS is still plugged in, I will recheck the connection. Would a bad OS cause no fuel at the injectors? The engine will crank but not start and I get no fuel at the injectors when cranking it over. Also, where is the CPS located on this engine so I can check the connection on this as well. I find it hard to believe the rebuilt IP would fail after a week, but maybe I am giving too much credit to the rebuilder. How can I test the OS and the PMD to see if they are functioning properly? Sorry for all the questions but thanks for all the help.

Yeah, a bad OS could certainly do that. I would not put much faith in the dealer!! 
Like JiFaire said, should fill out your signature so we know exactly what you have, any modifications and such.
If OS is still plugged in then try unplugging it. And look for grounds around the back of the engine on passenger side. there should be three, two on top (one on intake, one on water blockoff plate) and one on the back of the engine closer to the filter manager/housing.
The CPS is another connection near the IP, the sensor is down on the timing cover by the crank, but its tail comes up between thermostat and IP.
Have you made sure there is fuel getting to the IP? Do you know if your Lift Pump is pumping fuel? Have you ever drained the water and contaminants out of the filter manager with the T-valve on the thermostat housing?
Have you dumped a lot of Used Motor Oil in the fuel tank, or some other additive? The Optical Sensor must see through the fuel and if it gets dark or bubbly it will throw those codes.
Did dealer change the fuel filter and not put it down in the correct position? It has to be keyed the right way otherwise wont seat and will suck air in, and cause this, and other nonsense sometimes.
