So looking around for ARP head studs for my 6.5l just to find they dont have any I was just wondering if the set for the 6.2l would work for my motor

Now how hard is it to put them in while the motor is still in the truck

In theory you can put a stud in at a time after pulling the heads. In practice it is gasket, studs, then heads. I am always doing it studs, gasket carefully, heads. There is a lot in the way to put heads on over the studs with the engine in.

I have done them with the engine out and used red or blue locktight on the block side. I then tightened the studs into the block. The locktight is a thread sealer at this point. Then install gasket that you have to be careful with to get over the studs without ruining it. So far so good with no leaks. There are other ways to seal the studs in the block. I expect the block will go to the scrap yard with the red locktight studs in it if the day comes...

I do not agree with the hand tight directions in the package for possible leaks. You do need to have a plan to seal the studs as they can and do leak without a sealer of some sort.

Well I wasn't planning on pulling the head just pulling the value cover off and just changing the bolts out with studs

Yea but me and red were there for navscoleod... Dude Hurlburt has a nice brand new hotel put up called the Soundside Inn. I learned about that after staying at the Eglin one a couple times. Anchor Inn was getting redone when I left and then they were gonna put up a new dorm altogether for everybody there. I was there for the groundbreaking on detail when I was out of class lol
