Where is a good place to list my scoot for sale (other than the Want Advertiser). :cryin: I'm looking mostly for internet sites.

I'm going to put her up on Craig's List, but don't want to pay for ebay. Didn't have any luck with 05 gmc and that leaves me a little shy on ebay for now anyway.

Thanks.

Craig's list has been very good for us. Bought and sold many things on there. Just keep an eye out for scammers.

I never look on Craig's list. I just don't know who to believe anymore because of all the scams. I always shop on Ebay personally. I know scammers are on there also, but feel it's still far the best way to shop. Just my opinions though...

Why not throw it in a local paper? Your local HD dealer showroom floor? Maybe they can sell it for you.

You could always go to the auto tradder or "cycle tradder" (same thing). They can put stuff on there internet site and IIRC they'll keep it on till it sales. :biggrin5:

Kinda hard to be scammed if you deal in cash only...

Bought my RV and sold my boat through Craigslist. When I buy a bike for my son, it will be off CL as well..

Doesn't matter where you go scammers are out there but like said deal in cash or if check, money order whatever wait til it clears.Myself if I am purchasing I am going to hand the money to the guy I buy from anytime its over a grand.
Sorry you have to sell the bike,I have a custom in my garage but really the market is terrible atm so I'm gonna hold on for a bit see what happens in our limping economy. Now if I had a bunch of those little scooters or rebels I would be in fat city.

Thanks guys!

I'll look into that and see what they charge.

I never look at the local paper for listings anymore, suppose it wouldn't hurt though. Never thought of the dealer - I'll see if Cape Cod Harley does anything like that.

As a real estate attorney - I know all about making sure the check clears and agree.

I have NO desire to sell, but with my new baby boy (need the car seat every day), trying to buy a new house and the real estate business in the toilet - I'll sell now and upgrade in a year or two. Too bad too as I just did a 800 mile trip last weekend and the fuel economy was . I've always taken it to court and/or client meetings in previous years, but they won't let me put the little guy in a side car.:toetap05: j/k

All the dealers do it(referring to above post) but it will cost you 10% of sale, but hey if you wanna sell it.

Sorry it just hit me but maybe you could work out something that would allow you to get the money back(10% dealer fee for selling) that they made from you, if you purchase your next bike through them-just thinking outside the box.My words are all mush ha ha.Congrats on the baby Boy.

Hey thanks and good idea. Worth a shot since I will be buying from them.
