Yep, went by my Old Dealer where I Worked and they had an '06 CRD Liberty on the Floor with only 14k Miles.

It Looks, Drives, Smells Brand New. I just couldn't pass it up. It'll be more Daily Friendly to Drive than the Truck, so I Picked it up.

Now to Start doin some Work to it!:D

Anyone got any Idea's? I'm gonna get the Edge Box for it, wanna do some kind of Exhaust & Intake too.

Will do, Picking it up on Weds.

The Dealer is SWAMPED from the People doing Cash 4 Clunkers.

All the Dealers here have like nothing left on their Lots.

This lil thing has got some Balls too. I was surprised.

I have always wanted to drive one of those with a Diesel. 14K is not even broke in yet on the motor.

Are you gonna fill this up with speakers like your truck?

Haha, nah. Prob. just do a really nice SQ System in it if anything. Just some Nice Components in the Doors, and like 1 10" Sub in the back. Maybe even just 2 8's.

In-Cabin Noise is pretty Loud when the Engine is still Cold, but once it Warms up, like all "Modern" Diesel's, it really Quiets down. Def. gonna Sound Mat the Interior though.

Just got Home / Done Workin on it.

Already put in better Headlight & Fog Light Bulbs.:D

Yep, it comes with a Red Top Stock. :smile5:

Here's some Pics:

I drove one and loved it but all the talk of tranny problems and the reflash chrysler does scared me off but Suncoast makes a nice TCC that fixes the prob. You should shoot a PM to GMCTD . He is also on a forum for those. I think it was called lostkjs or something like that. He knows ALOT about hem.

Yep, I've already done all my Homework on them and know 'em Inside and Out now.

But the Trans. Problem shouldn't have Scared you away.

Congrats on the new truck, those little jeeps are awesome. It should serve you well.

DP Mag did an article on them a while back, the cat-back from the 3.7L is a bolt on. With the exhaust, Edge, and a K&N filter it picked up 50HP and 35ish torque at the wheels.

There wasn't enough info around at the time other than people's horror stories. I had long suspected like everything else aftermarket cures would be availible but they wern't at the time.

Just out of curiosity, I was looking at them too, but found that there are 2 different diesel engines, a 4 cyl. (earlier models) and a V6. Which one is better?

Nope, there's just 1 Diesel, the 2.8L 4cyl. The 6cyl is a Gas Motor.

The earlier ones around 2000 or '01ish had a 2.5L 4cyl Diesel, but I don't know if those are avail here.

I'm stuck on what Chip to get for it though. Everyone that has a CRD Raves about InMotion Tuning or GDE, but they are Hard Tunes, and you gotta Send out the ECU to have it Flashed...not something I'm too keen on. I want to have Control over what Tunes are in the Truck, and they make Boxes for it, but no one has really Commented much on them.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess some people and dealers that advertise them do not know what they have. I thought there was just 1 motor. Thanks James.
