and a few more. As you can see - the original cabs were not friendly to those taller than 6 ft.
Here's a copied/pasted exchange from my uncle as he talked to a coworker that was interested in the truck:
"The '31 Model A pick-up would probably bring about 30K. if freshened up a bit. As is, 25K would be fair, but he’s willing to work with you a little bit. Quick description: Original 31 cab, made up bed, aprons & running boards, fiberglass fenders, steel 32 grille & grille shell, original hood. Small block 350/4 bolt main Chevy with turbo 350 trans/ Ford 8" rear, 4 bar suspension front & rear, dropped tube axle with disc. brakes front/ drum rear. Has "Ford" custom gauges, Mopar tilt steering column/ wood steering wheel. Motor is "new" (no more than 5,000 miles) due to dropping a valve in the last motor while racing. Rattles like a typical Model A, runs down the road straight/ true with all the power you would need."
The cabriolet has a 409 with a six pack, and he also is replacing all the electrical in my "aunt's" car - a 64 stingray corvette convertible with a 427 big block in it, and he was working on a buddy's Pontiac SS? (sorry - still learning cars here).
You wanna talk about a guy with expensive taste - he's got all the tools of a garage/shop. Funny thing - I took that marroon dodge (my old truck) to his shop to work on it some and he calculated that his lift, taking into account the safety, could lift the truck. We lifted it, lowered it by a foot and it wouldn't lift it back up. Needless to say...we didn't worry about trying to raise it after that. Just finished what we were doing and lowered it safely, haha.
