OK here's the deal. my square filter need to be fixed(leak) and I have the 6.5 setup.

Is there a tee for the drain line or just straight hose?

what size are the mounting bolts?

is there a thread on how to bleed this setup(never had to deal with it before)?

1) Yes it is mounted toward the front of the motor on the drivers side

2) I have no clue but some one will pipe in shortly

3) It bleeds out the top from a screw

I will see if I can find some pictures for you, yes I like pictures.

Here are some pictures

Here is the fuel drain

electric lift pump on frame under can for 6.5td, I had a 82 with 6.2it had a mechanical and I added a electric to help and to add easy of priming , or occasually I run out having no functioning fuel gauge lol, I ran it with a toggle switch and used it on hard pulls and start ups, also a manual pump has chance to bleed by and put diesel in oil if u elimate electric will work.

To bleed with electric pump just get the pump running and open the air bleed ontop of filter wait til fuel comes out and close air bleed. To drain water from FFM run pump again and open water drain valve.
I'll go out in a little while and meassure the thread size for the mounting. You are referring to the stock mount thread size on a 6.5 intake right?

yes on the stock setup. Where does the drain end, right at the valve or is there more hose after it? or is there a good spot to make it finish? I'm building as I go.

I ran a couple taps and the one that fit was a 10mm but I don't know what thread pitch. I can say its not 1.25 I would just take the manifold to a hardware store/fastener store and try until one fits.

You can run a 1/4" line from the drain on FFM to a valve anywhere you want to put it. On other end of valve run the hose to a convenient place so you can catch the water/diesel instead of it going ontop of the engine or to the ground.

well I got everything in. the bolts are 10mm X1.5 pitch. I used 35mm(that what I could find) but you could get away with a 30mm easily. as for the drain, it got mounted beside the oil filler pipe.

one thing to note to anybody else doing this. cut and hook up the fuel lines before the intake goes on.:nonod: there's not alot of room for exrta line under there.

BTW the connectors (heater/WIF) match up with the square filter setup.
