i have enjoyed my hypertech power programmer and although it is a great tuner, i now need something that will give me a little more fuel economy instead of horsepower/torque. i am looking at the max energy but you all may weigh in with your opinions and such.

From my experience i get better economy with my edge on level 5 rather than the lower levels. More power means i don't have to use as much throttle.

I was happy with the PPE 90 hp tune. Nice get up and go with great shifts, also picked up about 2 mpgs over Bully Dog.

I tried the bully dog 8 hour trial 50hptune and pampered my truck down the interstate for approx 150 miles my truck said I was getting 18.5.I checked it and it was 19.even...then I bought a ppe standard and tried level 1 and level2which is 90 hpgoing straight down the interstate 40 and am only getting 17.my computer told me that I was getting 21.5..that was the first time that I have it read way off like that I love the extra power and my tranny deffiinately shifts betterbut //////bully dog seemed to have the better fuel mileage and seemed to be more in tune with my computer mileage.

Ppe

I have had good results from my PPE set on 160hp setting getting 17 in town and 20-21 on the highway. Lots of power if you need it!

thank you I will try the higher settings on my ppe is there a lot of extra fuel pressure to get extra mileage.and will this hurt my injecter pump and fuel rail?I am also going down the interstate and love to show a little torque when needed....lol

I do not know if there is increase in fuel pressure but I have run both the 225hp and now the 160hp tunes for 7 months with no signs of problems. Maybe someone else who is more knowledgeable can chime in.

Predator was always good for mileage on my truck. I liked the 85 tune the best.

wow just ran my ppe on level 3 down Interstate 40 for 550 miles I got a whopping 17.3 ..I was getting 17 on level 2 hmmmmm....I wonder about level 4.....or 5 even lol still gotta say that the extra power is fantastic..
