anybody know if the front seat from an extra cab is the same as a standard ?

my extended is 60/40 split bench

FWIW - my 94 ext cab had the same buckets as the reg cab 454 SS trucks...

car-parts doesn't show a break down for regular and extended cab. I'd say the seats from the extended cab would likely work but you would have some unuseful features like the passenger seat sliding all the way forward for someone to get in the back.

I think the ex-cab all have split bench for pass. side to slide forward. Split bench uses the same mounting holes as buckets. 4 bolts on each side.

Seat Interchangablity

I went through all of this looking to expand my total seating when my family came up here this summer. I never tried, but the junk yard up here said that the bolts are different for all the bodies and that the seat-belts wouldn't line up. My crew cab has buckets, I was looking for a bench. My center counsel is MIA anyways. Take care.

Not that this matters but Ill throw it in anyway... I put buckets from a 96 in my 89, the drivers side was bolt up but passenger side I had to drill 2 holes...

Has anyone installed front seats from new body style truck or suburban? Would bolt pattern in bottom of seat match these OBS rails? how if i change them with rails?

Thanks guys. I wanted to buy the seat from NMaines truck but i guess we'll have to measure it to be sure.

I've switched seats many times from both regular cab and extracab. On the split bench or buckets, the inner bracket is different due to different hump in floor. I've got some brackets still if anybody needs them. I'd have to verify which cab config they are from.
