So I got the FRB-5 Walbro lift pump and the pre-lift pump fuel filter. Install was yesterday and went pretty good. Once we found a suitable location for it, it went fairly quick. A regular cab leaves a lot to be desired in the form of usable frame space to mount things. So we skipped mounting it on the frame. On the drivers side of the transfer case is where both ended up. Above the cross member. We used an existing hole in the cross member for the transfer case to bolt the mounting plate to, so it could be removed if needed. The plate itself was flat where it bolted to the cross member, then each end had a 90* turn at the end. On the side mounted closest to the engine, th filter was mounted. On the side to the rear of the truck, the lift pump was mounted. We used 45* fitting out of the filter for ease of install and the FRB-5 barely clears the space there, but it does with enough room to work comfortable if so needed. The top end feels a lot stronger and doesn't seem to struggle above 2700rpm anymore. All around it runs a lot smoother and power comes on a lot better now.

No gauge yet. So no pressure readings...yet :) And I currently running my tank sock and the pre-lift pump filter so at some point I will drop the tank sock. Should help a little. and I have a bunch of other things to do before I think I will be heading back to the dyno. Probably not until the summer or something.

And thanks. Like I said, a regular cab leaves you no room to really work with on the frame. With the fuel tank and everything else, this was the best place we could mount it in-frame. Plus, it keeps it up and pretty well protected from road hazards.

The next thins I need to do is increase fueling, but a rounded head on a bolt for my high idle solenoid is haulting that process. It doesn't even work anyway. Might cut the bracket. It's either that or go in through the side but I am tossing up which is more of a headache. The side of the pump seems damn near in-accessable to get the bolts back in place that hold the cover on.
