For Dashboards needing repair

That I dont know. It doesnt seem to be when I ship flat rate priority boxes and packages.
I shipped a .36 cal black powder resolver, balls, .50 cal cast mini ball bullets, ball mold and lead ingots to My son. That box was near 50 pounds, IIRC, the cost was about $15.00.
IDK what a regular box or package would cost.
Maybe @ak diesel driver could give us a hint.
See my video, the Dash Skin box was large, but the weight was minimal.

The son and DIL ordered a drone for the eldest grandson. IDR what company it came in from.
The box was small and weighed near nothing but that co would not mail to Alaska.
Many companies will not do that, mail to Alaska, no matter the size or weight of the package or box.

Yup see it all the time. That dashskin would probably run $150 through the PO. Not uncommon at all for shipping to be much more than the item you're buying.
Alot of companies that won't ship to AK use UPS only. Can't be bothered to set up an account with the PO which would pick it up from them. I better stop now.......

A bit of a dash update. I installed a Pioneer NEX-2550 head unit into the ‘99 Suburban. MrMarty graciously provided an aftermarket bezel by Metra for the double DIN pioneer. It fit pretty well, though my dash is so brittle that several of the receptacles for the metal clips just broke out. My solution was to place thin strips of Velcro on both the dash and the bezel to hold it in place. After 150+ miles, including some off-road on logging roads, I can say that the velcro solution works. What I really need is a new dash.

On the Pioneer head unit, I’m having issues. Need to revisit pairing the phone with the unit. I did have it connected, but now have lost the connection and it’s fighting me. Also, the unit says it automatically connects to Car Play on your phone, but that has not happened. The manual sucks, leaving one to find how to videos on YouTube.
