fan clutch mod

Ok guys, I've got everything all put back together now except for the fan and fan clutch. I want to do the fan clutch mod on it, but I want to make dang sure before I start putting this thing together. So I bend the spring to make the round part longer not shorter right?? And then I RTV the end back in the clutch right? Thanks guys

The little tab bent 90* at the end is shortened, to make the fan engage earlier.

the tab that is RTV'd in the fan clutch is made shorter?

ok, that's what I was thinking. I just didn't want to do it and then have to pull it back out and do it again
