Well here are some pics from the restrictor. fast forward, working on the 98 Burb with dual stats. Pretty easy fab. I do notice a difference. I only broke 210 once and I know why. I was climbing the hill by my house and the truck hit 210 and the Kennedy fan kicked in but I leveled off and turned onto my street and it was down hill with 30 mph speed limit so basically the trucks temp peaked out as I made the turn then the engine did not have the rpms . I dropped it into second gear and the temp came down very quick. So far the Kennedy fan does exactly what it is advertised to do. A few notes on it. It does not just come on and off like others. It partially engages while climbing in temps and fully locks by 210. It takes a little lnger to disengage but not bad. I would NOT use 195 stats with this fan. With 180 stats it works properly but if you run 195's I could see it running alot. I am happy with it so far and to date have had the best results with it vs Heaths or the Hayden SD, but again I would NOT use it with 195's. It was really hot again today and I took it for a good half to Cabelas up some decent hills and she never went over 210 basically and definitely notice a difference with the restrictor. IMHO if you are running dual stats, it's a must do. It was upper 90s and humid outside.
Here;s the Dmax fan with the JK clutch. Even got a free pen, how can you beat that ??
