Does anyone still run their engine cover? I'm thinking about putting mine back on, but wanted to be sure there was no reason to reconsider, aside from filter access.

It is nice for trapping more heat against the ip after shut down.

It makes (to a new diesel buyer) a convoluted looking engine look sleek and smooth. No other function.
We thought maybe it was designed for better air flow around alternator, but tested that and proved it wrong in the fleet.

Ok, so if it is detrimental to use it, then I'll leave it off.

I removed my Balance Flow kit and have the space back, now. The cover sprawled out a bit, over the years of being off and the holes are about an inch from where they once were. I was having a heck of a time getting them lined back up and fighting the firewall insulation at the same time. I began to wonder if it was even worth the trouble, so I walked away from it last night.
