Hi all ,

what DTC 38 - TCC Brake Switch Stuck "OFF" means? We found this code on a 1995 K1500.

What's odd is that this code is not listed as an current DTC, but shows only in historic. Each time we clear all codes, it dissapear and reappers at next reading.

The truck itself seems to be a little sluggish, and the shift points are a bit rough. At the same time, it seems the engine is reving a bit a useless way before the truck shifts up. TCC doesn't lock properly?

What's your bet?

Correct, this code will be stored, if the tranny doesn't shift/closed the TCC as from ECM desired. Sometimes will be stored after the TCC switch modification and/or after PMD change, without disconnecting the batts.

Cu,
Sven
