draining the cooling system

im changing the coolant on my truck and am just wondering how you get the coolant out of the motor

The drain on the drivers side of the rad is the only one I know of. It's a bit messy, I drilled a hole directly below the drain on the lower flashing so the coolant doesn't run all over the lower rad support.

I drain most of the coolant by siphoning it out with a 1/4" hose stuffed down the rad trough the upper radiator hose connection.
The block can't be drained below the waterpump unless you pop a freeze plug out on the pass side and the block heater on the dr side.
The drainplugs are convieniently hidden behind the motormount brackets.( courtesy of the General)

I drilled and tapped my block and installed 2 draincocks on the 98 when i did the rebuild.

well if what I try to fix my blow by issue doesn't work then I maybe doing that
