Pulled this parts truck home last night- 92 c2500 has a 6.5, NV4500.

The guy bought brand new head castings and new exhaust valves, re-used intake valves and had a machine shop do the valve job. Installed new heads and 2 days later the bottom end locked up. Supposed to have low milage turned up injector pump and low miles injectors. Good NV4500 and solid flywheel style clutch. 14 bolt semi float 9.5 inch posi.

Threw in a bare 1995 141 block but I looked at the darn thing this morn and no main caps! I left him a message to see if he has the caps.

Im going to use the heads, pump and injectors on my 92 dually project, hopefully one of the 3 engine blocks I have are good. If I have a good block Im going to buy a new Scat crankshaft to go back in.

The NV4500 and the hydroboost brake system and maybe the posi rearend are going into my 93 C2500 gasser. I may go ahead and swap the 8 lug stuff from the parts truck into the 93 6 lug C2500 also. . The seat is going into my 95 Z71.

Ha! All 5 of my trucks are in that pic, #5 is gonna get cut up after I strip it though. But I will be keeping the title and dash tag.

The kid says he will give me the main bearing caps for that bare 141 block so I will get them and clean up the block and see if its a boat anchor or not.

Nice lookin truck!
I cant wait to get back to the states so I can start finding good deals on stuff.

I paid $1000 for it, so I think im coming out pretty good. It has a new ac compressor and the condensor and radiator look perfect, had another perfect hood and fender in the bed, has power window doors I can swap to my dually project. Has the instrument cluster with tachometer. The 6.5 was complete except for the fuel filter bowl. New heads, Nv4500 trans, posi rear and the extra 141 block.

Kid wanted $1000 for everything and thats what i paid him. I have the title for it too. It was on craigslist for over a month before I finally went and bought it. Pulled it 60 miles home

so you're telling me that you stole this stuff. I hate you.

:D

Ha! Yeah deals come up, there have been a couple non running 92-93 6.5 duallys on craigslist houston lately for 1500-1600. And down here stuff is rust free.

2 weeks ago I bought this trailer off CL for $900 from a roofing company in Houston. 19 foot deck and 5 ft dovetail and folding ramps. They tried to sell it for $1800 for months and finally the boss said make it go away so the foreman dropped it to 900. They had cut the gooseneck off it and put a 5th wheel extension and semi-pin on it and were hauling a 25K pound telehandler with it until they upgraded to a real 60k semi-lowboy. They delivered it to me with the semi. The tires are all like new, has 10,000lb Al-Ko axles, has air over hydraulic disc brakes now. I will pull the air-hyd actuator and install one of the electric-hydraulic pump units for $650 and im cutting the front extension off it and putting a goose-front back on it. So I need to get my dually running to pull this thing :D:D:D:D:D:thumbsup:

I did have to pay them 200 to deliver so I have $1100 in it . After I get the 92 dually running then I will work on the trailer.

Then I will be set up to haul steel posts, beams and purlins to build my shop on 8 acres I bought this year near Coldspring. Also will be able to rent a backhoe or whatever I need and haul it myself. This year is going real good for me unlike the previous few years.
