Did a 1/2 day of flyfishing for bonito at Catalina, coming in before the winds picked up. Completed some unfinished business breaking a couple records for my fishing club and cinching down the Top All Around Boat Award.

On the way back from the ramp, the exhaust sound suddenly gets a lot louder from the engine compartment. A closer look today reveals that the down pipe broke at the junction to the stock exhaust:

This was an aftermarket down pipe dropping from the ATT. The stock pipe from the down pipe to the soot trap is dented in on top to clear the underbody where it passes over the first cross brace. Sorta like all the denting they did on the stock down pipes. I need to keep the empty soot trap for smog inspection. Found a small hole in a junction of the pipe to the rear of the muffler. Muffler itself looks fine, but I'm open to suggestions.

So what's the recommendation here for exhaust systems? I see a lot of recs for Diamond Eye. Anything else?

you can get a flowmaster. it will come with a downpipe which will bolt up right to the soot trap then you can get a diamond eye and get a reducer to go from 2.75 to the 3 inch which is what the size is in the becoming of the DE system. pm me if you want a new flowmaster downpipe cause i got one and im not going to use it
