I've got VALVOLINE synthetic 75w90 in mine.

Mobil1 75w90 synthetic. I think it does a better job than the factory fill of grape juice or Amzoil severe gear

Amsoil. Ran it for 800,000 miles in the old 1989 and never touched the rear end or GetraG 5 speed transmission. Luck or not, I stick with what worked for me
