Diesel Camino?

I am thinking 6.2 for my monte because I have at least a dozen of them on stands in my shed

Should Get an El Camino and drop one engine in the front, and one engine in the back! True 4-wheel drive.

Barry, you have problems.

You either really love the 6.5, or really fear its going to fail!

I'll say this though, this 6.5 of mine is the most dependable engine I've ever owned.

My first thought was of a 1972 SS ElCamino with swivel bucket seats. A snap on tarp over the bed. Dark Blue with black stripes and 350 hp under the hood.
It wouldn't go in the quarter mile but you could get rid of a set of tires at will.

A 454 is less than 100 lbs lighter than a 6.2 or 6.5.
I had a 72 SS elcamino 402 bb in 1977 Also had a 72GMC Sprint SP with 402bb. Just sold the sprint a year and a half ago.The el camino went end over end at 100+ mph :eek:3 months after I bought it:nonod: Sorry no pics.

Had a '65 Elky... I sold it and still kick myself for doing it. Always wanted to drop a 6.6 into it. Now looking for Chevelle wagons... ultimate touring car. :D
