It seems like every 6 months or so I get this occasional code. p1216-fuel solinoid response too slow. Isn't that the cylinder on top of the IP?
 
No. The fuel solenoid is the heart of the IP. The PMD (FSD) is the part that turns on/off the fuel solenoid.

Slow response time can be related to poor battery connections, ground connections, a weak PMD, or an IP ready to crash....
 
Well the pmd is a new dipacto. I had this come up w/ the old pmd as well so I think the PMD is out of the scenario. Dieselpro thinks it is fuel related since it happens infrequently. Hopefully that is the case. I am towing my boat up over donner pass this weekend to go camping. I wouldn't want to get stuck and have to eat my kids. :D
