After breaking a tie rod back on the ‘99 K2500 Suburban back in December 2025 due to over doing the ream job on a GMT-800 brake conversion, I’ve been going tbrough this truck to address vibration at highway speeds (70 to 75 mph). I went through the issue with a bad install on right rear brake cylinder causing the left rear to shoulder the load and lock up, which flat spotted the tires in the rear. I was down to vibration in the left rear which I could see the spare shaking in the rear view. This video shows the tire to be out of round:

I swapped in the former right front, which significantly reduced the vibration, though not completely. This tire had also spent some time in the rear when I was having the braking problem.

I’m convinced the remaining vibration is in the tires. They have about 50% wear left, or about 25K to 30K miles. I’ll just burn through them as is and keep the out of round one as the spare.
