Fixed the cruise control on the VW today, you would not believe what it needed...I bought $15 cable that hooks up to my Lap top & downloaded a free program from here http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/ that will read codes & such.

The clutch switch mount needed to be bent down about a fraction of an inch so the switch would indicate that the clutch pedal was out to the computer!

I really think whom ever the previous owner had working on this VW was a con artist. The previous owner told me his mechanic told him it needed a $100 dollar part to fix it friggin crooks :skep:

I'm gonna get a new timing belt & install that ASAP

We're pretending to ignore you since you've become one of those VW snobs...

;)
JK!:hihi: Glad you got it working. No cruise sucks!

Thanks Mike...yea I been reading & learning this is a new ball game here.

Too many miles daily for sure without the cruise control...

Snob naaa just frugal Mike lol

PS I ran through Sandwich Sunday on the scooter...were ya home?

Yeah I was there. Lotta scooters out! There was a group of about 10 that went by the house mid-late afternoon that was all hi-po and loud... REAL loud! Took off from the stop west of me and hit 2nd-3rd out front. Sounded great! That you?
