Codes and EGT Temps

So on my 06 d-max I installed a Edge Juice with adittude. Ive had it in for the past few months, but when I used the truck yesterday, I noticed my egt's were running too hot. It started out normal but then they got progressively worse, to the point where on stock setting, quarter throttle would bring me over 1200deg.

So i shut down the truck and let it sit for 2 hours. When I restarted it, it imediataly read egt temps of over 1500deg on idle. Now after this I am assuming that I am getting incorrect readings. So ive tried unplugging the edge and plugging back into the factory harness, and then i get about 10 different codes, all saying "low voltage circut" to such and such sensor. Now im kinda just assuming this is from unhooking the factory harness.

So what do you guys think would cause me to get egt temps like that? something in the module or the temp probe? Regardless I think I am going to get rid of it. My buddy has the same one, and nothing but issues. Thanks for the help in advance!!

I would just call edge. When I had an edge on my last truck they were very helpful.
 
Good suggestion, they're most likely going to tell you the EGT probe is toast... it happens often with some people's, I've heard of people getting edge to just send them another one.
 
Thanks for the replies guys...Im thinking it is the probe too. Ill have to give them a call and see what they say. Problem is, I bought it used, so i dont think they will be sending me anything for free.......but you can always try!

I bought the newer truck for long road trips and reliability, so im really starting to second guess this aftermarket crap. I think i might get rid of the edge and go back to stock. My buddy has the same programer, and has nothing but problems with his also.

Called Edge today and they are sending me a new EGT probe free of charge. All I have to do is return the old one. Guy said they just send them back to the company that makes them.

Im quite impressed with the customer service. I didnt even buy the unit new, nor did I have the ser. numbers to give him. So kudos to Edge

Ha, dont worry about it. Whenever you buy anything used you just have to expect these things. It should be an easy fix so long as it's just the probe.

Hows work? Get any busier with this cash for clunkers deal??
 
work is work. no not any busier. cant do much until they actually see the money. we have had applications in since july 29 and not a dime yet. they delivered some early on, but every deal is on hold now. the dealer is not gunna front the money for the feds and then get screwed.
