code question

greetings folks i need your expertise once again. my duallys been running great since i got it running about a year ago.last week after i got done shopping,it wouldnt start. after a sec, it started,but died after 500 ft.i started it and drove for the next week or so.(i figured it was just the gremlins these are known for). well now it starts for20 seconds or so then dies. i pulled the codes and there are two. 35..injection pulse width short, and 36.. injection pulse width long. i remote mounted the pmd, but never replaced it. could that be it? or am i goin in the wrong direction.i obviously dont want to do the hit and miss method. its thanks to you guys and this site that this truck was brought back to life to begin with. thanks for all and any repies.

PMDs can cause a WIDE variety of symptoms. IMO everyone should have a spare for testing purposes if nothing else. Sure sounds like PMD butt... it could be lift pump as well, or ign switch, or... need to start with some basic tests check fuel flow at FFM drain as well as pressure

Some have got rid of those codes with 2-stroke oil. I have a pmd that gives both those codes.

ok , i replaced the lift pump and oil press switch within the last 500 miles . i can hear the lift pump so i know its working. the engine never stumbles , it just shuts off as if i turned the ignition off.

Did you replace the OPS with an acdelco? Your symptoms sound like my OPS problem but your codes are the same as when my IP died.

yes ac delco. gonna change the harness and pmd, soon as it gets here..........prayin its not the ip. thanks for the help. ill let u know what happens asap.

Another test is to put 12V direct to the LP and see if you can start and keep it running.
