My mother-n-law has a 2005 Chrysler crossfire. When you go to put gas in it it quickly spews back out the filler neck like its not venting or has an obstruction in the filler neck. It does it at the pump and also pouring gas from a can thru a funnel so its not a fast nozzle cause. It appears to almost gurgle and it will slowly drain into the tank.
I figure its an epa gas vapor emission vent problem???? I crawled underneath and find the fuel pump a filter and some type of plastic box that might be part of the emission venting system behind a plastic cover but don't see any obvious issue. Note I can't see the tank. I guess its in the bulkhead between the driver and truck? I do see some dirt dobber mess in the plastic cover but no obvious plugged vents. I think dirt dobbers probably have some plugged something but don't see it.
Any one have experience with this know what to look for?
