Good to know your guys' feedback! I always figured email was just an easier way to communicate more clearly. I typically don't speak to the person until I'm actually setting up a time or place, or unless they prefer phone conversation.
I am probably more old fashioned on things like this than most. I don't mind not having a smart phone and being hip on all the latest technology. Looking at a truck, recently, the kid wouldn't email me photos, but wanted me to set up a skype account so he could do a walk-around while I was watching. This was our last conversation. I feel that if someone's posting an internet ad, the LEAST that they can do is email pictures. If I have nice clear photos, I can pore over them and look for things I may miss in a live video. Perhaps, equally of importance to me, I look at the neighborhood the vehicle is sitting in, the grass, if sitting in a yard, the house condition, driveway, other vehicles around it, etc.
At any rate, a person can usually discern whether it's a deal to walk from or not with a few phone calls.
Posted in the body of the ad, for example: "Name's Ice. Gimme a call on my Camero. Yo."
Yeah, this quote above isn't getting a call from me. If he's selling a Camaro, but can't spell Camaro, for instance, then I have no use for the car, or for doing business with this guy.
