In need of a new block heater and cord for my 1997 C3500 6.5 What is the cheapest place? Napa? I did a search and that seems to be what people have said in the past. I want cheep but not so cheep it only lasts a week
Thank you for reading :smile5:

Its a standard heater for a 1-5/8 freeze plug hole.

Napa is goof

If memory serves thay cost about $50 for the kit that includes the cord.

I got mine from the dealer, it came with heater, new plug, bracket, and a couple of bolts for $43. Just replaced it last year.

I put 2 napa's in when I had the engine out of my 95 LD. Paid $45 each.

I just bought the cord section off the bay for 20 bucks, i already have a good heater, but i need one more heater...

take a bar and a hammer hit it on one side until it turn sideways get a pair of waterpump pliers or vise grips on it and yank it out

shit.. I made a hole in it, still wont budge...I hope I dont get freeze plug parts in side there... any idea how to get it out now?

If you made a hole in it that easy the freeze plug may not have been very healthy to begin with.

its a international diesel with low miles that I already had to replace the oil pump in. The motor itself looks brand new, but I think its made from pop metal. Every time I look at it I find more and more bolts missing
