Best Spray-In Bedliner

Ok guys, just ordered dad a new 2009 Duramax! So, we need advice on spray-in bedliners. My 2000 and his current '02 dmax have a rhino liners and have held up great.

Is rhino liner still the best one out there?
 
Line-X for durability but Pepp is right about less skid with the Rhino. Although I don't have a skid issue with my Line-X (insert skid mark joke here):h).
 
I like my linex on both trucks, hell i had rhino lining on my 92 and we put that through hell and it held up very well for how thin it was applied, went with linex because the rhino guy in my town messed up my buddies truck with overspray. No problems with either i think, just make sure your dealer knows what they are doin!
 
Rhino, Line-X, SpeedLiner and plenty more. I guess it just matters what you like and can get in your area.

Where I am at I can only get SpeedLiner unless I drive a hour away.
 
Rhino here in my last two duallies, I agree with Pepp on the non skid with Rhino being just a little softer texture that helps it hold on to your ice chest of beer or whatever your hauling. Then there is Line-X I've found is tough and seems to be a more uniform application. Both carry Lifetime warranties, Rhino and Line-X are both great liners and would not have a problem having either in my trucks, I just prefer Rhino because I seem to always have an ice chest in my truck and hate chasing my beer around the truck bed. But if you are going to haul alot of heavy jagged junk iron in your bed Line-X would be my preference, If your hauling typical loads like appliances, furiture, feed, ice chest of beer, welding machine and just about anything but heavy sharp jagged iron I'd pick Rhino.

This is just my experience and I'm sure there are exception out there.
 
I have a Rhino in my truck. As has been stated it is really going to depend on what you like and what is available in your area. I don't know about the price difference as I have not priced the Line-X.
 
Line-X here. It's Durable as all hell. I have seen another one with Rhino and as others have mentioned, it has a little more non-skid feel to it. But for durability it's all about Line-X. I throw axle housings and scrap steel and crap in mine all the time. I even spilled battery acid on it (was on there for 3 weeks) and didn't phase it. Tough Stuff.
 
One thing I forgot to mention. Line-X seems to hold up better in a real cold winter. Several around here have had the Rhino peel when putting heavy suff on it in sub freezing weather. That's one of Line-X's selling points locally. I wanted mine over the rail and with the Turtle Wax Ice polish the Line-X looks like new when I apply it to the rail caps.

Sounds to me like prep work wasn't good enough. I have Line-X tough stuff, my truck is a work truck and it has held up woderfully. I watched my Line-X guy do the prep man was he thorough. I don't think there was any place he didn't sand to roughen it up for good adhesion. That was after I washed it out.He also said my wash job was cleaner then most new trucks from the dealer.
 
Another vote for Line-X.

Also, you might wanna think about doing bed spray under the rear fender wells. My brother did it to his '08 and it looks good! Make sure it's the smooth appilcation. I wish I would have done it when mine was new, I guess I still could.

Line-X in both our trucks, and my Uncle's. Also my dad and I have 1/2" rubber mats on our floors. My cousin has a Rhino in his truck, it's scratched, peeled and faded...the Rhino owners that have chimed in, what does the warranty cover?
 
Both now have national lifetime warranties, the deciding factor for me was who did the better job on the prep and spraying. If you can find examples of your local installers and inspect them, do it.
 
Line-x gets my vote. M dad and I both have it in our trucks and we both like it. I had Reflex liner in my last truck and it was not bad. It was sprayed a little thicker and did not conform to the bed as well as line-x. A couple of my friends had Rhino and they all faded into a grey after a couple of years. Rhino may have changed that by now though.
 
I vote for VORTEX!
I have had mine for 3 years. It still looks great. The texture is in between line x and rhino. Not as soft as a rhino and not as hard or abrasive and line x. All liners will fade with time. There are several coatings you can apply to bring them back.

I think that is a great point.. its as much who is doing the actual application as it is the brand.

Another Line-X vote, and owner. The reason was seeing the long term durability, year round test of Rhino, of the trucks at my part time job. Between the tears and the gouging out of larger strips during the colder temps, was a big thing for me. I suppose that the Line-X could be gouged, but it is a much stiffer product by in large.
