So I just found some time to finally do the Battery Mod today.

Good Lord, what a difference. I got some 3/8" x 2" hex bolts, nuts and washers. Took the wire wheel on my dremel and cleaned the hell out of all of the battery contacts, put some dielectric grease on the newly cleaned contacts and cinched them all down.

It's amazing how much faster it cranks now, plus the voltmeter reads just over 14v now, rather than just under. I should have done this much sooner.

I.......told........you.......so.......!!!

Great, glad to hear you did the super-inexpensive, super-effective mod. Congrats!

Yeah, I need to fix one of my grounding straps. It's jerry rigged right now, but it's functional.

I'm hoping I can get ahold of a motor I've been eyeballing for a good deal. Then I'll have one I can drop into my rig and then rebuild the one I have now.
