bad virus what to do???

got another virus, mcafee wont work, super spywear works and finds it but wont fix it, neither will sypbot. will not let me open any window icons, cant run CC cleaner, get all kinds of pop up wornings from "antivirus software alert" and other things. need help.... :mad2:
and no i wasnt looking at porn, some damn movie site did it
 
reboot didnt do anything, i get pop ups for porn on IE and i use firefox, how do i clear that stuff?
 
first off, boot to safe mode and go to restore, restore to a time when you didn't have any issues. If that works go to Microsoft web site and download Microsoft Security Essentials. It is free and it works.

On edit: get away from McAfee. They suck big time
 
my 2 cents once you got something on your PC it is time for a format C and reinstall OS.

i have not had a virus in over 10 years - how do you guys do it ?
 
naked girlie pics...Lupo is right. Format C. Nothing like a fresh install. Might want to replace the HDD if it's got some miles on it since your going through all that work. I usually replace my HDD during a reinstall if it's older than 1 year. They don't last like they used to.
 
Good advice above. First, try a system restore, but I have the feeling that won't work. You didn't click yes to anything that told you it was going to fix your problems, did you?

what really pissis me off is i never look up porn, id rather go get a girl or something i dont know, but all these damn porn pop ups i said what the hell and clicked on "enter" and it didnt work, some damn shity virus i get LOL

i would really really love to know how to do this, and the wife always paid for the mcafee so i kept it. i know nothing abot them

why dont i just send you a built machine,
in install everything and also put remote assistance on it,
so everytime you crash it, i can fix it remotely.

this is where you call me and click two buttons and next thing i take over
and move the mouse on your screen without you touching anything.

or you just bring it by on the weekend and take the other one, that way
we can always switch if you blow one up again ;-)

Justin it's easy depending on which OS you are using. If it's a name brand machine(like Dell or something) you should have the restore disks which pretty much reload the pC for you, The only downside is you will lose any data, pics etc etc. If there is nothing that is important on it then just do that. If you don't have the restore disk then you'll need an OS disk(ie: windows XP or whatever). Then you can usually just boot from the OS CD. I'm a little behind the times with this stuff. I still run Win2000 pro and I use a 98 boot floppy and just wipe the drive though DOS(DOS what the heck is DOS ??? :D )
Shoot, I'd still be running Win NT 4.0 but they don't make Mobos that are compatible anymore.

Hello Justin,

Just sent you a PM.

When you boot/reboot your PC, the BIOS information comes up first which starts the copy of the Basic Input Output System into your PC's memory. This, in turn, starts to load your OS (e.g., Windows, Linux, etc.). Just before/as the Windows logo pops up, press [F8] -- that should bring up a list of options on how to boot up. Select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking".

If you can connect to the Internet, update your virus signature files and run your antivirus program. Download MBAM (Malware Bytes Anti Malware), update its signature files and run it.
