Can someone tell me if there was any difference between the 700R4's found in the gassers as to those in the diesel? I was thinking probably a different converter but anything else?

Valve body is differnt. I know this for a fact because I was going to do just that and as you stated TCC is different. The gasser TCC would probably "work" but stall speed it off from what you'd want with a diesel.
