96 motor that was pulled from a bus in the states and imported to Australia. I want to put it in a Landcuiser but i notice on the side of the fuel pump there seems to be wires coming out of a throttle position sensor (i guess thats what it is). Is this going to be a problem as i was under the impression i only needed a single power wire to the pump. ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANKS

Well, that's a bit of a pickle.

A 96 would seem to indicate and OBDII pump (DB4), which requires a PCM to run (IE: lots of wires).

However, buses are often funny beasts and it may be OBDI (DB4). Same problem, needs a PCM to run.

Now, if it's a mechanical pump (DB2), which a bus just may be, it will run without the electronics. 93 was the last year for the DB2 in trucks, but again, buses are funny beasts.

In short, if the engine has a DB2 pump, no electronics needed. If it's a DB4, it needs the electronics.

To toss one last wrench in the works, if it's a db4 it can be converted to a DB2 by swapping on a DB2 pump and a few other bits.

Brunswick diesels in Australia (in Brunswick by odd coinceidence :rolleyes5: ) does a lot of 6.5 conversions in land cruisers. Since they're somewhat local to you (IE: Australia) it might be worth getting in touch with them: http://www.brunswickdiesels.com.au/new/contact.php

Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention;

You can run a 6.5 with a one wire hook up, but it needs to be the mechanical (DB2) pump.

You simply need to power the fuel shut off solenoid to allow fuel into the pump and she'll go with no more 'lectrons required.

But it needs to be the DB2. DB4 won't work that way....
