Some owners who recently purchased an A-Team Turbo turbo will be contacted regarding a manufacturing error in the turbine housing of their turbo charger. The housing was not manufactured to the specifications required and affects the proper performance of the turbo charger. . The replacement turbine housings will be shipped to the affected owners after they have been contacted. If you have any questions please post them here or pm me. MOST ATT owners are not affected. Once again A-Team Turbo owners can contact me if you have any concerns.

Respectfully

Is there a date range on the affected units? Is there any way we can tell if ours is an affected unit?

You will be called or contacted by Dennis about this. He is being proactive about it.

Mine is affected. This actually makes me happy as it will likely solve the odd issue I have been having.

88gmctruck, Pm me your purchase information and I will let you know if you are affected. If so a new turbine housing is in the works.

I will be discussing each turbo that is affected on a one to one basis. There are not many people affected, I will be speaking with each and we will work out what is best for each person regarding the exchange.

Turbos purchased after 06/12/2011 Are potentially affected, nothing before that was affected. I am completing a mailing list and will work with everyone affected on a one to one basis to replace or repair the affected turbos.

These are pictures on how to identify the turbo chargers with the larger than normal exhaust housing. Affected compressor marking.jpg008.jpg

The compressor housing does not have any casting numbers on the inside when looking at it and the turbine housing has a rectangular dimple with the number and letter next to it. these were only sold after 06/12/2011. I am in the process of contacting everyone by email or snail mail if I do not have their email address.

If you have one of these turbo chargers I will be contacting you if you wish to contact me either pm me or email me at [email protected], so that we can discuss how and when to get your turbo charger repaired or exchanged.

The new housings are on there way. A-Team sales will resume , with the new housings. Still the number one best bolt on turbo out there. Time and customer proven for reliability, and durability. If you are interested in purchasing please PM me directly for assistance in determining if you would benefit from the A-Team Turbo.

For anyone contemplating an A_Team Turbo the new housing designs will be available within the next few weeks, by the end of December.

The A-team Turbo is a tried and tested turbo on our 6.5 and has logged over 50,000 miles on my motor and over that on turbine Doc's and other peoples 6.5 without any problems. Not many after market turbos can make that claim, we have been selling turbos since 2008 and strive for durability and dependability. Their are over 100 turbos out their running with out problems, customer feed back has been positive. If you have any questions please contact me by PM or at my email, [email protected]. You can purchase with assurance that your satisfaction is first and foremost.

I will be giving a written refund policy prior to any purchase, if a person buys a turbo and for any reason is not happy they can return it according to the refund policy. The turbo is a good match for a healthy 6.5 gm diesel. The turbo will not place undue stress on your motor with excessive boost. Excessive boost will stress your engine parts and cause eventual failure.

I can also supply you with current users on this web site that own an A-team Turbo which you can contact if you wish to speak with a current owner before purchasing.

OK new announcement, new housings are at the machinist, should be shipping within a few weeks at best. So I will be contacting the affected owners to confirm the address is still current and then the exchange will begin. I will need the old housing back and will make arraignments to have them returned. I need them for credit on my returns. Anyone have a problem with posting a returnable bond for the old housing? LOL

Dennis

Thank you to my customers and supporters for being patient with this exchange, I think that it will be worth the wait.

Dennis

What is the turn around time on a new A-Team Turbo? I am hoping to order one the first week of March.

And if I order from Walking J with the KOJO tune will it have the same warranty?

Thanks, We find out today possible stage 3 bone cancer, and he is under 50 years old. We have been in the martial arts for over 32 years together, he is family, third friend (family) under 50 that has had the disease. We joke that all of the smoker, drinkers and party people are still healthy, where did we screw up. LOL

OK sending out letters to all of the people that are affected. this will be to confirm th emailing address and to set up the return of the old housing. I need to have the old housings to get credit for the exchange. Have 2 out already and should be getting some numbers on the rollers with both housings the large and the original housing. Stay tuned thanks to everyone for their patience. This will be corrected.

Dennis

PS my friend is going to have chemo and radiation. Any prayers would be appreciated.
