The Front Diff has worn a hole through my oil cooler lines.

Its my fault for not double checking the clearance when I installed the engine. They looked so good going in.

Yep had similar happen to my first line repair. I went to a local hydraulic shop and had high temp braided lines made but they did not fit exactly in the factory mounts and rubbed on the plastic skid plate. The constant vibration between the motor and frame wore through the hose and I got a nasty seeping leak (I caught it fairly quickly). I had heard and figured to watch rubbing hydraulic/electrical lines. Now have a little more respect for flexibility of hose and chafing protection.

At least you know now where a good place is to add abrasion/chafing protection to your new hoses to make them last longer.

I'd like to put a Lube Specialist kit in, but really don't have the time to wait. Ordered a new OEM set to get it running, they'll be in Monday afternoon.

I'm budgeting for a LS kit for the summer.

Engine should be ok. I caught it running while errans. So watched the oil pressure and took it slow, shut it down as soon as the pressure bounced.

If it had failed on the trip to see family today, it would have been a much different story! :mad2:

Confirm the save. No real drop in oil pressue. 10 hours in the snow to change the line out.

Had to pull the manifold to get the oil pump drive out. It was worth the time. Got the lines, cooler and filter refilled before starting.

Spent a little quality time with the conduit bender to get more clearance on the new line.
