Are front ABS-sensors the same in both sides?

Troubleshooting a ABS-problem on my Silverado 1996 4w4 and wondering if the sensors can switch sides ?
I know that the right one is good, but a salesgye think that he might send me a wrong one for the left side, that maybe causing problems. (ABS kicks in at low speed on the left wheel) but does not turn on lamp.

Are left and right identical ?
