Need to see what head(s) I have to pull on Patch via a compression test. I hope to get away with just the driver side due to headstuds installed with red threadlocker.

Something along the lines of :
Kent Moore SPX Compression Gauge J-6692-B and Adapter J-26999-30
 
You want a compression tester right not a leak down tester correct! I have a leak down tester but I don't think they work right, I put it on a good 12v Cummins and air blew out past both valves and the rings as soon as I put pressure to the cylinder with both rockers off the valves.
 
Yea, I would say your on the right track with a compression test. Sorry, if I had one I'd send it your way.
