My Friend has an '02 Jetta TDI. It's got over 120k on it, but it's Clean and runs good.

He wants to try to make it a lil Faster. It's already got an Intake on it, but that's it.

All I can find is the BD X-Box, Bully Dog Box, Intake, Injector Nozzles, and that's about it. No one makes an Exhaust for it, or anything else?

I've heard that cant take but 20-30 more h.p. over stock before the trans starts to rip apart.

From my infrequent and casual reading on the TDI forums, it seems the consensus is to straight pipe the stock exhaust and call it a day...

Damn. I guess it'll be 50/50 with him them. He'll be happy because it's less Money he's gotta spend, but on the other half, I'm sure that's not gonna make it too much faster.

Ye, I know all about that Jetta, but that's wayyy more than he wants to do. Just wants to make it a lil Faster for the time being, he prob. isn't gonna keep it much longer.

Love my TDI, tdiforum has lots of good stuff if 40+ mpg & fun is your fancy TDIs are good way to go, same as a 6.5 or DMAX, pipe, reflash, nozzles, gotta remember these wew 90ish Bhp, 150 is huge on so light a vehicle, my wife has the bug which is fine around town, but jetta or passat are roomier, some of the hypermilers (conservative drivers) with 5spd manuals getting close to 60 mpg, they are also SVO/WVO compatable with a grease car etc. type kit.

Kerma TDi knows TDIs.

They can take some power and when things start to break there are stronger parts out there.

After I get loan in which I helped pay for my truck paid off, I intend on getting a TDI. I was considering on getting a newer (but used) jetta, and installing the skid plates on the front, and it seemed like there was a shifter kit...that I thought about doing. Other than that, I think I was going to leave it at that.
