I used to race MX, basically from 2000-2005ish. Found that people good in the trees couldn't ride MX if their lives depended on it and vice versa.

I liked MX for the competition and for the fact that you could work on a specific area or jump at the track repetitively. Someday in the future, I'll get another bike... probably a 250F since they're so much more fun to throw around and ride hard without wearing you out so quickly. I loved the big 450's, but you gotta be in shape to ride it at it's limit.

Here's the last one I had, an 04 YZ450F.

Same reason I got out of it. Now I'm back in the same boat with bicycles. You can't win... there is no such thing as a cheap hobby.

Did some class C (dirt tracking) and roadrace stuff awhile back, too old for that stuff now, do track days now and then, and some desert / trail riding.

i used tio trail ride, but sold the bike. it was a 124 yamaha. my little brother jsut baught a bike and he got a Honda CRF 230 F. nice little bike.

I got a 94 XR600R that im rebuilding the engine, almost done, and a CRF450X that wont start....

Thanks. The guy that set it up for me did a killer job... it was literally like riding a couch, but never bottomed or pitched me over the bars in the whoops like the stock springs and valving did.

Yep, I race road bikes. Just bought a new frame after a crash last month and the sad part is it cost as much as the brand new YZF did back in 03.

Saweet...I use to ride about 250 miles a week, never raced though.

I trail ride on my Honda crf450 and we also hit the dunes on quads. Racing quads was fun back in the younger days but now it's just good fun with friends and family.

nice bike believe me i know how much they cost my shop is attached to a bike shop, and they arent cheap. I also race down hill mountain biking. I mostly ride at diablo free ride park in NJ. These down hill bikes arent cheap either.

I used to race MX in Milford when I was a kid. A few years ago I bought a used bike and have been trying to get back into the club there. Lately I have been running around in the woods with it.

Where do you race?
