Hello, About me: I have owned my 6.5 diesels since 1992. Its a 1993 model that I ordered from the dealer. I now own the trucks in my sig below. The1993 has a Cadilac front clip and runs on WVO. One of the 1996 trucks has a 6.5 that I converted from a DS4 IP to a DB2 IP. I used a GM TCM to control the 4L80E. It is a crew cab with single rear wheels. Black with red interior. The other 1996 is a crew cab dually that I put a 5.9 Cummins diesel in. It to uses a 4L80E controled by the GM TCM.
Thanks.
Leroy

Looks good Leroy! I have never seen the new style handles on our trucks! Is that your Powerstroke as well?

Yep, its an 05 Super Duty.

I have way to many vehicles. Besides the mentioned I have a 1970 4x4 Chevy frame off restore. A 1972 Chevelle convertible with a 540 ci engine also frame off. A 1997 Volvo 850R, and a 85 mersedes 300D.

Thanks again.

I did that about 3 years ago before I owned a digital camera, so no pictures of the process. I can say it was not all that hard to do. Just takes time. I was able to reuse the factory pull/push rods in the door. I did have to cut down the linkage on the lock cylinder to get the lock to turn enough. I just basically cut the right size hole, drilled for the handle mounting studs.

One thing that is cool is all my GM trucks use the same key now. I even mod'ed the ingnition key to work with the same key. I had at one time 5 GM trucks that all used the same key, even the Duramax

Welcome Leroy, I can tell you're gonna be able to share some good stuff with us. I too like the door handle mod, I'm curious what mirrors those are on that truck? They look like the stand-up Dodge ones, how much fab work did those take?

Yes they are the Dodge trailer tow mirrors. I like them alot. They were very simple to mount. Just drill three new holes for the Dodge mounting studs. Just be sure to get the angle right or they could face to far down, and there will not be enough ajustment in the mirror. The mirrors come with a backing plate for support. They will have to be cut down to fit through the GM door frame. The mounting studs are longer on the Dodge's and there is a shoulder area on each stud that is not threaded, so I used sway bar end link bushings for GM vehicles to space out the backing plate enough to make everything tight.

The factory contours of the Dodge mirrors fit perfect on our body style trucks.
The mirrors are from a 1994-2004 Dodge. I got mine brand new on ebay for $180ish. If you have lots of money and want power mirrors you can buy two sets, one for 94-04 Manuals and one set for a 2004 with power. Then swap the heads of the mirrors out with the other. You could even resell the 2004 set as a set of non power. Im sure someone would buy them if they were cheap.

welcome thats a nice looking truck you have there got any pics of the cummins??
