The temperature would have been located in the mirror, these trucks were never offered with a DIC in the overhead console. The wiring (from what I understand) would have been integrated with the dash wiring loom and if the truck wasn't equipped with it originally, chances are the wiring isn't there on it. I was hoping that my 99 was pre-wired for all these things, but it's not. When I was installing my cablights, I expected there to be a connector in the convenience center like my 88 had, but after it not being there and having to figure out where the cablights plugged in at on these trucks, I found that there is a connector up behind the steering column that contained the cablights, and all associated wiring for the compass/temp mirror. The plug isn't even there on my truck. I also noticed that most of the unused slots on my conventions center don't have electrical connections in them either.
