Can I disable these by disconnecting the battery, or is there simply a fuse? I am going to tackle pulling the dash and am not interested in a bag deploying while I'm doing so.
 
Proper procedure is disconnect the battery, and wait 30 minutes for any capacitors in the system to discharge. Then unplug the airbag controller, and theres no chance of them going off then.
