A-Team Turbo Video

Nice. I am impressed with the pickup. I think it would give my Duramax a run for its money. I drive my truck like an old man, so that's what I judge by. :D
But the sound and acceleration is very nice and refreshing.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments. I put a lot of hard work into the truck. Nice to know it is appreciated. And Koots, keep in mind that even though it's a 1 ton, it is a Single Rear Wheel regular cab, so as far as 1 tons go, it already on the lighter side of things. I put the truck on the scales and with a full tank of diesel (roughly 40 gallons or so I think) and me in it, in weighs in at just over 6000lbs. But honestly the trucks drives amazing. It doesn't even feel like you are driving a large truck.

The ATT drops intake temps enough to skip an intercooler. I was seeing 270 peak on the 1995 at 17 PSI. The GM3 would melt wires NEAR the intake wound up over 14 PSI. The turbo heat also helps warm my engine up in the mornings and get it running better.

I didn't intend to run a common rail Dodge with the 93 but he was in the way off the light. He didn't expect it and I passed him off the line. On the 2 lane onramp to the freeway he was in the rear view mirror and stayed there. I didn't gain distance and he didn't catch up. I am sure he was thinking blown 454. if he really knew it was a 6.5 I am sure he'd have burned his truck! No mods - Just lit it on fire! :hihi:

haha that is pretty sweet. If I was him and got toasted by a 6.5L, I would probably pull him over and shake his hand haha I keep trying to get my brother to have a little friendly race in his 24 valve but he needs a new clutch first. His is slipping. so I am just lying in wait haha And yeah, the GM-3 does get things pretty toasty under the hood. That intake sure heats up quick after a short burst. I did race my buddys 97 stock 7.3L in my truck when I had the GM-3 on it with mods, and beat him off the line enough to get a good distance between us but after that he didn't gain on me but I wasnt pulling away either. Still made me feel good that the old 6.5L can hold it own with a direct injected diesel with just a few simple cheap mods.

My 93 with the GM3 can hold off my buddys 2000 7.3, his truck needs SOMETHING it is a turd. He tried to pass me @70 on the high way and I smoked him. Good thing I didnt have gauges then or I woulda pulled back.

Turn your fuel down a bit. I was 1/4 turn in on my pump running 15psi out of my GM-3 and I absolutely could not get my EGT's to exceed 1000* no matter what I did. I was simply out of fuel and already at the boost limit of what I feel safe running with stock compression, which was anywhere from 15-18psi. And when I mean anything, I mean anything. I just could not get EGT's above 1000*.

The GM3 is coming off before it ever sees another load. I am going to make one last haul with "known and repeatable" weights so I can have a testing base off of my GM3 and then start running other turbo's and pushing their limits until I find a turbo that best suits the way I run the truck. I wont say it wont end up with an ATT but I am gonna try every turbo I trip over first

I plan to have the fuel and weight to justify the innercooler, and for testing purposes I want the IC plumbed in so I can use it if a turbo disagrees with my rig. I want to pull at 70 mph and not worry, I am not affraid to call for back up. My trailer has a hyraulic jack and can dolly down with my tractor loaded, changing trucks wont be a problem if I get over ambitious.
