99 no dash lights

Haven't had time to do much checking. The Illumination fuse (#9) is fine. The cab marker lights (5) are also out and those are on the same circuit.
 
Also noted that the exterior cab marker lights are not lit. So it's not the fuse, marker lights are out but formerly worked (all 5). So it's unlikely that the dash lights themselves are out and it's probably the switch. How do I test the swicth? How do I access it? Hopefully this is not another drop the dash exercise.
 
switch R&R is pretty easy. be sure and check the plug on the back real close. if you or previous owner had add on lites it will take out the switch pretty fast as well as melt the connector plug.

Would All 4 on hi HID headlights affect the switch? The headlights themselves are doing fine.
 
if they draw more amps than 2 stock hi beams then yes. I put all my lites on relays so the only thing the switch does is trigger them. I had issues before doing that.
