97 3500 lug nut torque

What torque are the lugs? I guess 100 isnt right, I had a slight viberation and was missing 2 lugs and had about 3 or 4 studs that fell off when i tried to tight them.

At work we torque the 14 mm 6 or 8 lug to 120 ft lbs.

My D-max asks for 140 ft/lbs. I can't imagine yours would be less. Just a guess, however.

Yep. You have to pull the axle shaft to get to the nut holding the drum assembly on.

These have C clips or will un bolting the axle at the hub let me pull it out? It has been a good 5 years since have had one of these apart and that was a total over haul and I cant remember anything

You probably do want to grab a set of axle seals while you have the shaft out.

lugs are the only thing i torque, and it will be the last time after this shit falling off i always zap 'em on with the impact then snug them down, from now on ill do like the tire shops on put them on with 8000lbs lbs
