Noticed the other day my truck was leaking red transmission fluid..it's all over everything underneath the truck..how can I tell if it's a rear seal a front seal..and I was also told that if my drive shaft is bad it can eat up the rear main seal???need help don't have 100s to spend

Crawl underneath and see where it's coming from 1st. Go under and try and narrow down the highest wet spot as fluid drains down. Also the fluid wil tend to towards the rear of the truck while driving from the air going underneath. Unfortunately your going to have to look to find it as theres just no other way to find it.
